We continued up the Pacific Coast Highway heading for San Francisco.
In Pacifica, we hiked onto a bluff overlooking the ocean and ate our salad with lettuce and avocado (our standard dinner) and watched the sunset.
After a night at another crowded rest stop, we spent a day sight seeing in San Francisco.

The next day we headed south and then east, back towards the Mojave Desert. The sun was setting behind us, the moon rising ahead of us, and there was an amazing floral smell from the orange groves.
